Most of these stories were recorded in the early 1900's from the Chiricahua or Kiowa Apaches. Apaches are very good cowboys, cattlemen and horsemen. Today when attending a rodeo on any of the Apache Reservations one notices how respectful of the animals the Apache contestants are. The "cowboy way of life is very important to most of the Apache groups in the southwest.

The illustrations on this site are all original work by the artist and the author. They either original prints, linocuts and etching, or original paintings.
